Captions. Subtitles. Those words no one wants to read. Regardless of what you call them, the truth remains the same: they don’t translate movies, they dilute them. Captions strip away tone, culture, and meaning until iconic lines become something almost right, but never quite. When that happens, characters lose their voice and moments lose their impact. Duolingo exists to help you stop reading movies and start understanding them the way they were meant to be heard.
